Building Emotional Resilience

Many of us are experiencing heightened anxiety, irritability or lack of confidence these days.   It can be difficult, if not impossible, to tackle our problems effectively from a place of unease and distress.

If you would like to grow more emotional resilience for challenges in your life; if you want to build resources in preparation for deeper trauma work, or you simply want to feel healthier and happier, this workshop will give you the how and the why of creating inner strengths.

Discover how you can use ordinary day to day moments of ease, connection or enjoyment to build your inner resilience and grow lasting emotional resources.

You’ll learn about the physiology of distress and how to avoid the peaks and troughs so that you have a larger window of well-being.   The workshop will include nourishing, mindful practices that you can easily incorporate into your daily life, as well as time to discuss with others or to reflect and journal alone if you prefer.

Daren is partnering with Spike Warwick to facilitate this workshop.   Spike is a BodyMind Practitioner with over 30 years’ experience of working with minds and bodies wanting to heal and grow.  She specialises in working with persistent pain, anxiety and trauma, and uses Positive Neuroplasticity (embodied brain training) as a key tool for creating lasting beneficial change.  Daren De Witt has been practicing NVC since the year 2000, which is a powerful process for both self-connection and empathy with others.  He is also trained in Identity-oriented Psychotrauma Therapy (IoPT), also known as Identity Constellations, which explores the impact of emotional challenges in childhood on our subsequent sense of self and self-esteem.

NB. This workshop is not a Nonviolent Communication (NVC) workshop, although it is aligned with the principles of NVC.
