NVC Level 2 Trainings

Nonviolent Communication Level Two Intermediate Trainings

If you have completed the NVC Level 1 Foundation Training and wish to take your training further, I have combined with five other London-based NVC trainers to create the NVC Level 2 Intermediate Online Training Programme.

I facilitate three of the twelve level two trainings from this programme. These three trainings are the only post-foundation level training that I am currently offering, as I am otherwise focused on supporting individuals with Internal Family Systems and Identity Constellations, two similar processes which help us to explore and heal from the impact of our unmet needs on our development from the commencement of our lives onwards.

What is the NVC Level 2 Intermediate Online Training Programme?

The NVC Level 2 Intermediate Online Training Programme consists of 12 trainings across the course of a year, one training per month. Each training is 6 hours in length, taking place over one day or two half days. We have focused on making the programme as flexible as possible. Each training stands alone, so you can attend as few or as many of the trainings as you wish. The twelve trainings repeat each year, in effect creating a cycle. So, you can start at any point during the year and following the training programme through to completion for yourself the following year. You can also attend any trainings you miss during one year in the following year.

The trainings are facilitated by five certified NVC trainers. Each trainer is facilitating approx two trainings from the programme. So you will be able to enjoy the individual perspective, understanding and specialism of each trainer. We hope you will enjoy the richness of the themes and trainer input that this programme offers.

“I find these trainings so enriching and empowering. They have also given me the opportunity to meet people in other ways, and I am very grateful for this.” – Hannah, March 2023

Intention

To deepen your understanding and experience of NVC in theory and practice. Sustained input over the course of a year will support you to integrate and embody NVC more fully in your life.

Pre-requisite

Participants will be expected to have completed a NVC Level 1 Foundation Training, or equivalent. This will ensure a common foundation for intermediate/level 2 engagement and practice.

Facilitated by five London-based certified NVC trainers

Below is more information about the three NVC Level 2 Intermediate Online Trainings that Daren is personally facilitating in 2026.

Learning from our Mistakes, Mourning and Expressing Regret

Date: Sat 7th & Sun 8th March 2026.  9.30am – 1pm UK time on both days.

Location: Online using Zoom.

This workshop is part of the NVC Level 2 Intermediate Online Training Programme (go to the top of this page for more info about the full programme). On this particular training we will explore how to connect with ourselves and others when we mess up!  We will explore how we talk to ourselves and what is going on for us internally.  We will also look at how we can connect with the people who have been impacted by our actions and how we can express our regret in a connected and connecting way.

Themes covered will include:
– How we connect with ourselves when we make mistakes, exploring and practicing the concepts and dynamics of the ‘inner educator’ and ‘inner chooser’ as defined by Marshall Rosenberg.
– What it means to ‘mourn’ in NVC.
– Judgemental apology vs life-connected apology.
– Expressing our regret in a life-connected way.

The training will be focused on practice, using examples from your own life.

Prerequisite

Participants will be expected to have completed an NVC level 1 Foundation Training, or equivalent.  This will ensure a common foundation for intermediate/level 2 engagement and practice.

Comments from Previous Participants

“This training goes to the essence of human connection with self, life and others.  It offers a practical and heartful framework for working through what comes alive in moments of regret, mourning of needs that cannot be met at that time, and apology.” – Anna E, March 2023

NVC and Anger

Date: Sat 8th & Sun 9th August 2026.  9.30am-1pm UK time on both days.

Location: Online using Zoom.

Go to the top of this page for an overview of the full NVC Level 2 Intermediate Online Training Programme.

Anger is a powerful and widespread emotion in our culture and NVC has a unique approach to it.  In NVC we define it as a ‘life-alienated emotion’.  The NVC approach to anger differs from the basic NVC model, including an extra step!

On this particular training we will explore how to connect with our anger and ensure that it is expressed in a life affirming way. We will understand the range of feelings that often underlie anger.  Finally, we will look at how we can connect with other people when they are angry, either with us or with someone else.

The day will be focused on practice, using examples from your own life.

Prerequisite

Participants will be expected to have completed a NVC Level 1 Foundation Training, or equivalent.  This will ensure a common foundation for intermediate/level 2 engagement and practice.

Comments from previous participants on this training

“This training with Daren has enabled me to stay present and empathic in some highly charged situations. It has considerably deepened my understanding and practice of NVC. I enjoyed the format, where we were able to discuss our experiences and bring examples. And I enjoyed having time for long roleplays.” – LW, Aug 2025

“Daren, thank you for all you gave to this NVC and Anger workshop. I’m giving gratitude for the sense I felt of having been in a space held and shaped by care, focus, listening, expertise, warmth, patience, acceptance and for the invitation I felt was offered to engage, explore, grow and connect.” – A Edgar, Aug 2023
